What we do
As a network, our main priorities revolve around helping alumni meet and make personal connections, fostering a stronger relationship with Stanford faculty and students, sharing relevant news from our community, and providing a central registry of Stanford alumni active or interested in food & ag.
While we have a number of ideas around these four building blocks, we want this community to constantly evolve with your help. If you have any new ideas, want to host an event or know a great speaker, please let us know.
We started this network to bring the Stanford alumni community in the food & space a little closer together. "Stanford Alumni in Food & Ag" enables like-minded alumni to meet and get to know each other at informal mixers, speaker events or dinners.
Many alumni have told us that they wish there was a better way to connect with Stanford faculty on latest research or reach out to current students about project work and potential employment. Both faculty and students have told us they would be interested in the same. We want this community to serve as a platform to strengthen the relationship between Stanford and its alumni with regards to food & ag.
As a way to stay connected and up to date, we will share the latest food & ag related news from alumni community members as well as Stanford community. Please make sure to sign up via SAA to receive our newsletter.
A first step to connecting with other alumni interested in food & ag is knowing they exist. By signing up to our community and joining our group in the SAA directory, you are helping us build the first central directory of Stanford alumni active or interested in food & ag. Through the SAA directory, you can find other alumni in a specific field or region and help current Stanford students connect with and learn from experienced alumni. As all SAA directories, his will be an "opt-in" group - none of your information will be shared unless you want it to be.
